乘车奔驰在宽阔的草原公路上，穿过巨型雕塑——恐龙之吻，便进入二连浩特市区。城市新痕旧迹、交替错落，看得见高楼大厦，也寻得见平房杂院。

二连浩特位于中国正北方的内蒙古自治区中部，辖区面积.1平方公里，城市面积18平方公里，犹如在中国版图的鸡背上镶嵌的一颗璀璨明珠。这里是国门重镇，也是丝绸之路的驿站，还是恐龙的故乡，草原从这里划界，再往北就是蒙古国。
